Kiran Kumar H S has been associated with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India as a Mentor of Change since 2018. As part of this association, he has been driving several state-level and national-level initiatives and programmes to develop a culture of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and change-making among school children in classes 6 to 12. His initiatives such as "Tinkerpreneur" and "Tinker Champs" have been widely adopted by AIM. He has been recognized as a Top Mentor, Exemplary Mentor and GEM Mentor in the country by AIM on multiple occasions.
As a Regional Mentor of Change, he engage with multiple ATL and non-ATL schools to develop ATL Sarthi Clusters and partners with Nodal Agencies and Value-add Partners (such as Higher-educational institutions, research organizations, private companies, NGOs, and other organizations) to support student tinkerers and innovators at the ATL through field-visits, workshops, bootcamps, mentoring support, incubation support, etc.
By profession, Kiran Kumar is an innovation, product strategy & management professional with over 30+ years of work experience. He has served in leadership, managerial and technical positions at several major multi-national corporations such as Infosys, Motorola, Philips and ABB for over 16+ years. As an independent management consultant over the last several years, Kiran has been offering consulting services to tech startups in the areas of technology-led innovation, digital transformation initiatives, product strategy, product management & engineering for incubation, development, and commercialization of new products, platforms, and solutions.
Kiran holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Symbiosis, Pune; a Master of Science in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA; BE in Computer Science from Bangalore University; and Certificate programme in Leading beyond Authority from Common Purpose, UK.
