About
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a nonprofit organisation working to address classroom hunger and support children's education through nutritious school meals across India.
We prepare and deliver meals through centralised and decentralised kitchens, working in partnership with government bodies and other stakeholders to reach children at scale. Our approach focuses on food safety, quality, efficient meal delivery and regionally appropriate nutrition.
Beyond school meals, our programmes include morning nutrition, Anganwadi feeding and food assistance during emergencies. Through our commitment to compassion, transparency and accountability, we work towards a future where no child is deprived of education because of hunger.
